DLG Investigators provides litigation support, witness locates, interviews and statements, process services, skip tracing and background checks. Our investigators, who have years of experience in offering testimony, will prepare an extensive report on their investigations, and when necessary, testify to the veracity of their reports.
A legal case is only as strong as the evidence that supports it. Strong evidence must be thoroughly documented, whether it be by written word, video or photographic documentation or demonstrative means. What witnesses know may help, but it also may not. Our investigators who conduct interviews and obtain statements have hundreds of hours of training in interviewing, interrogations and statement taking skills, and possess extensive backgrounds in law enforcement which provides them with the unique ability to accurately document the interview and statement in a professional manner. When you require detailed statements for your case, our investigators will review all the facts of your case, prepare a pre-statement interview, and once the interview is completed, ensure that a formal statement is recorded. All statements are accompanied by professionally written investigative reports.
We ask the right kind of questions which are thoroughly documented and recorded in one of several methods:
- Type written statement
- Videotaped statement
- Telephone interview/statement
We are flexible when scheduling witness statements, striving to facilitate stress free and convenient meeting location.
Civil litigation can be complicated and costly. Your case is only as good as the evidence you can provide in court to support it. DLG Investigators will provide you or your firm with investigative support that includes:
- Interviews and statements
- Forensic Support Services
- Forensic Photography
- Witness Identification
- Expert witness testimony
- Computer Data Recovery and Examination
- Difficult Process Service
- Skip tracing
- Due Diligence
- Surveillance
We will also perform background investigations on opposition witnesses to determine the credibility of their testimony and if necessary, to refute their testimony as expert witnesses
Definition: An individual who, being present, personally sees or perceives a thing; a beholder, a spectator, or eyewitness who can provide testimony, in a legal proceeding, attestation of a fact or event due to personal knowledge, present at a transaction so as to be able to testify to its having taken place, signs a document attesting the genuineness of its execution.
Locating the witness may not be as easy as the definition, but that is where the experienced investigators at DLG Investigators shine.
Please give us a call to discuss locating even the most elusive subject.
We have the tools, knowledge, and professional training that allow us to find long lost loved ones, dead beat parents or witnesses quickly and affordable. There is an extensive variety of internet based search engines and paid information services available to try and find someone yourself. Unfortunately, even these tools have their limitations and finding a witness is not the most effective use of your time. Locating subjects begins with collecting as much information as possible about the subject. The information must then be analyzed and verified. We, at DLG Investigators have access to proprietary databases not normally available to the general public, which assists us in locating subjects quickly and efficiently. When all the databases and information collected proves to be lacking, we must resort to old fashion investigative work, knocking on doors and interviewing third parties in order to track and locate the subject. Please give us a call to discuss locating even the most elusive subject.
Here are some of the types of subjects whom we have located:
- Witnesses
- Deadbeat Dads and Moms
- Former Clients
- Debtors
- Runaways
Skip tracing is another term for locating debtors who are individual that maybe hiding and are trying to avoid being located. Attempting to locate skips are much more difficult than people who are not hiding. We have access to proprietary databases not normally available to the general public; these databases provide us with information that will lead us toward locating the skip. We at DLG Investigators have successfully located:
- Debtors
- Deadbeat Dads and Moms
- Former Employees
We provide process service for the legal community throughout New Jersey, to include documents such as civil actions, summonses, complaints, subpoenas, or writs, for any individual or entity named in the document. Crime Scene Analysis and Review
This consists of the complete review of reports, photographs and diagrams to ascertain whether the correct forensic and technical principles have been applied while processing the scene and any evidence related to the scene. Some of the technical specialties our experts review are the crime scene photography, evidence collection, latent evidence, ballistics, and blood spatter evidence in order to correctly reconstruct the crime scene. This would not imply that the crime scene processing, evidence collection, or analysis have not been correctly executed, but that it may not have been completely examined, incorrectly identified, or complete laboratory testing has not been undertaken. Crime Scene investigation is not only about the inclusion of a person or suspect, but the exclusion of a person or potential subject of interest. This analytical review of your client’s case can reveal facts that may be relevant to your case litigation.
Latent Fingerprint Processing and Analysis
This is the detection, collection, preservation, analysis and presentation in court of fingerprint evidence in cases of homicide, arson, rape, robbery, various other major crimes and vehicular death. Fingerprints can be one of the best forms of evidence linking a person to a particular item of evidence or crime scene. We can provide expert latent fingerprint processing utilizing the latest methods, along with comparison and identification of unknown fingerprints to known fingerprints not only in crime scene investigations, but also in other types of cases.
Fingerprints can be found in three different forms:
- Latent fingerprints are those that are not readily visible without some sort of processing. Processing can include the application of powders, or the use of chemicals or visualization of light energy.
- Patent fingerprints are those that are readily visible without any enhancement. These prints can include ones in blood, grease, or oil. Patent prints are generally documented through photography.
- Plastic prints are three-dimensional impressions in substances such as putty, soap, or a soft ply able compound.
