Dan Mason is a retired law enforcement officer with twenty-five (25) years’ experience.

He started his law enforcement career as a Special Class II Officer for the borough of Manasquan in 1995. He left the Borough of Manasquan after getting hired with the Montgomery County Police Department in Maryland in 1997. He was assigned to the Wheaton District prior to leaving and getting hired with the Wall Township Police Department in 1999. Dan spent half of his career in the patrol division before being assigned to the detective bureau.  He has handled hundreds of cases including homicides, sex crimes, thefts, burglaries, Fraud and Abuse.

Dan has testified dozens of times in both Municipal and Superior Courts. Dan’s educational background includes an Associates Degree in criminal justice from Ocean County College, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Individual Studies from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

He has certifications in Detective Skills Enhancement Training, Crime Scene Processing, Computer Crimes and Cell Phone Investigation, Forensic Interviewing Techniques, Basic Financial Investigations, Arson Investigations, and Property Room Management Training. During his career, Dan has received numerous awards and commendations for his work.
